Spring 2020 Accessories – Spring is heading our way so be sure to be ready with some fab new accessories to update your look, without breaking the bank and to put a little Spring in your step!
Now if you are like me, where I’m not quite sure what I want to invest in quite yet for Spring/Summer, then accessories are a good place to start. Low and affordable items that you can start wearing now that you’ll get a lot of use out of all season.
SUNGLASSES
Sunglasses are a little like jeans – the shape and styles change with the seasons – and it’s one of the quickest ways you can refresh your style. Couple of pointers to note, sunglasses can say a lot about you – so stick to what suits your own face and also your own style personality.
If you think they are not a classic for you, then opt for affordable highstreet to have a season change from your typical designer pair. I personally love the range from &Other Stories, and have opted for these round sunglasses that come in various different colourways.
&Other Stories – Round Frame Sunglasses – £13
CHUNKY NECKLACES
This trend has been around throughout AW19, so if you have already invested keep wearing them! For Spring 2020 Accessories styling you typically see them in gold with many designs now adding little charms to them for added interest. I’ve gone with a heart design that I bought in store at Topshop, but I can’t find it online. Here are some fab alternatives if you fancy dialling up your jewellery
Topshop – Chunky Tooth Collar Necklace – £14.50
TopShop – Bal Bar Chunky Necklace – £16.50
STATEMENT EARRINGS
This is my go to now for a daytime look – A big chunky knit over a dress or jeans and large statement earring and you look so well put together – so easy and yet so stylish – Perfect for Spring 2020!
I’ve had these earrings for a while and I can’t remember where I got them from, but I’ve found a similar pair by New Look, which if I lost these, would be my replacement pair.
New Look – Gold Textured Earrings – £3.99
ADD SOME RINGS
You can get easily get stuck a a rut with wearing the same rings, day in, day out. I like to mix up my look daily – and I have found the H&M rings a fab place to start. Every couple of months I treat myself to their latest ‘pack’ as they mix and match the styles for the season.
This way you can keep wearing some of your favourites and then add in some new for the season ahead. I’m also a huge fan for wearing them on my thumbs… and I have been known to stack them too – so you can get full use out of them.
They will discolour after lots of wear and so recycle the metal when they have.
H&M 10-pack of gold rings – £6.99
Update your lippy!
It’s not all about jewellery – updating your make up is key too and one of the best ways to start is a fresh Spring lipstick! I’ve started to ditch the dark autumnal colours and started to wear my chubby sticks in pinks and oranges. The one I am wearing is Clinique Chubby Stick 07 Super Strawberry.
Clinique Chubby Colour Gift Set – Was £30, Currently £20
