I was delighted to interview author and psychologist expert Suzy Reading on her book Rest to Reset as part of my ongoing Getting Curious focus for 2024; aimed at women over 40 looking for other methods than just HRT to cope with perimenopause symptoms.
Rest is a crucial part of our health, I know this first-hand when I had to rest to recover from periods of vertigo due to burnout – I think there is this misconception that burnout comes from depression or being a workaholic. I disagree; you can be at the most happiest stage of life but not giving your body sleep, time out, pauses in the day – your body will let you know in other ways!
Be proactive and take control of your the rest you need for yourself to improve your own life – no two people are the same; so YOU, DO YOU! as I love to say.
