There are some mornings when you just need a big kick to get you into action, and I’m finding that my smoothies packed with really healthy stuff is a great way to start my day. Now I couldn’t do it every morning, but a couple of times a week this type of breakfast is just what I need.
I’m always surprised too at just how filling they can be, this will definitely keep you going for a good 4-5 hours!
- Handful of spring greens
- 1/2 an avocado
- 1 banana
- Handful of pecan nuts
- 2 x teaspoons of flaxseeds
- Approx. 10-12 frozen blueberries
- Approx. 100ml of orange juice (Be careful here! I like my smoothies thick – if you prefer to have them more fluid then I would add some water, too much orange juice can make this very sweet and increases the amount of sugar intake)
