I was a panelist at Cabi’s Big Applause UK roadshow in Oxford. We talked about the highs & lows of our journeys as a woman in business, plus menopause, plus styling, plus just how fabulous it is to be a woman!
I didn’t want the night to end.
Cabi is an American brand, founded by 12 fabulous ladies who had a vision to bring a fashion brand that at the forefront of their values was to empower women; give confidence in their everyday style and most importantly to make this network of women to feel connected and celebrated with every step they take.
Not an easy ambition to take on – many women every single day, especially over the age of 40, feel like they are invisible.
Through design of colour, good quality fabrics and print along with exceptional fit; Cabi clothing offers women across America, Canada and the UK the soul-filling joy of happiness to make every single day count, to make every single day about style, to make every single day all about YOU!
I’ve collaborated with Cabi and their UK team, many times since we first met back in May 2019, I was invited to their UK launch in London; I was therefore delighted to be asked to be a panelists on their UK roadshow – The Big Applause.
A celebration for women who own business’ that love style and have connected with Cabi through their personalised styling experiences, with so many super fans in attendance across Oxford, Birmingham and York they came along with girlfriends who had not yet been introduced to the brand.

The evening was held on the rooftop of Westgate Oxford, at Victor’s restaurant – a super stylish venue that was in-keeping with the style of Cabi.
Syd Ryan had flown in from California to represent the team from the USA, along with two pioneering UK team stylists Jo Perry and Mandy Noss – they pulled together such a great event, which had around 30 women to come along to be connected and talk about women in business, the highs and lows you can face as solo entrepreneurs.
The panelists for Oxford’s The Big Applause, included menopause specialist Dr Katie Barber, Cabi stylist from the Surrey region, Traci Bunch and myself.
We touched on subjects about how we got started, why we do what we do (which all came back to the same values as Cabi) – we love to help women feel great about themselves and give them confidence to live the lives, they wish to live.
After the panel talk we all got a chance to mingle, to take the conversations further from the points we had already highlighted. It was a great supportive and connected event and one I would love to get involved with again. You can’t beat in-real-life connections, we certainly need more of these to rise above that fear of feeling invisible.
We all have so much experience to share – it’s definitely good for the soul to connect and talk.

WATCH
It’s always hard to capture the atmosphere of an event, however I think Cabi stylist, Emma Mascall, created a fabulous reel this gives you an insight to the Big Applause in Oxford.

WHAT I WORE
The Cabi team kindly dressed me for their event, and I loved every, single item – and I teamed it my Cabi scarf from AW22 as the yellow and blue tied in well with the jacket and denim.
