Don’t you just love a ‘new in’ when it drops! I’ve selected my pieces from the ‘new in’ at Zara. Here’s my workwear edit for right now.
Workwear. Nothing beats a few new pieces to freshen up your daily uniform and here are a few of my favourite picks from Zara that have landed in store. Some I have managed to touch and feel, others are only on the website.
If you want to try-on before you buy, which is probably a must for the tailoring, I recommend you head to the biggest Zara store near to you or treat yourself to a London trip – My favourite Zara store in London is the Duke of York Square by the King’s Road (it’s the one Trinny Woodall uses too).
My Zara Workwear Edit
The new neutral is cream
Unless you are a bit a clumsy (like me) with your morning coffee, then you are going to love, love, love this outfit – I think the head-to-toe neutral cream look is uber chic – one I am seriously considering investing in, but I may have to give up my coffee for water only days in the office!
I noticed in store there are several pieces all in the same knitted fabric so you can easily mix-and-match pieces to suit your own style.
CREAM FOR TAILORING TOO
Tailoring is a key trend for Spring 2023, and whilst you will find the usual black, navy, brown, don’t dismiss the ecru selection that Zara have, as this offers a modern look for the office.
The waistcoat
The three-piece is what you need to look for, if you are investing in new tailoring for Spring 2023 – the waistcoat not only gives you a great ‘column-of-colour’ for a chic silhouette, but it also enables you to negate the need for blouse or t-shirt. You can also team the waistcoat with denim for an evening look and drape the blazer – a great choice for those needing to go to dinner straight from the office.
Spring Knitwear
I am excited to say… it will soon be time to ditch the heavy knitwear – whilst I do love the cosy feel of winter, Spring days offer the choice of remaining cosy but with a lighter vibe – and that’s very appealing after what feels like a long winter.
Select wisely, make sure they fit right under the jacket you wear for work and add a little interest by opting for the classic stripes.
THE OUTERWEAR
Trench coats continue to be the love of Springtime and whilst that is a great option, I challenge you to think about the new trend piece of the Bomber jacket.
Now whilst there are several colour options in Zara and many are opting for the wool finish, I wanted one that could easily work both for the office and also for casual weekends when I want my weekends style to have an elevated look.
I’ve bought this one below, it’s a khaki-grey and this weekend I have worn it with my khaki knitted dress and trainers; I bought a size medium for a 12 fit – it’s just the right level of oversized.
On my office days, when I am not in the mood for a blazer, then I will certainly be grabbing this.
