Olivia by INYATI is a gorgeous faux leather handbag by fashion accessory brand, INYATI. After falling in love with Coco and showcasing just how easy she was to mix in with all my daily outfits, I just knew this is a brand I want to adopt more and more.
Since mid-November I have been reviewing four alternative handbags from their AW19 collection, this my fourth and final AW19 review. You can meet all the others too – there’s Inita, Vivianna and Georgia.
WHY I PICKED Olivia
As much as I love tote bags, you do need a mix of different size bags in your collection. A small top-handle bag gives you the comfort of holding a small bag like you would your tote, and yet on the occasions you don’t want to be carrying a lot of items, Olivia has been fairly discreet and yet super stylish!
I was particularly intrigued by the faux fur handle; the range comes in multiple colourways and I think INYATI have selected well on the contrasting colours, some are a classic mix and others a little more edgy.
Olivia is a great social events bag
Whether it’s been a meeting or a lunch date for my blogger life, Olivia has joined me – Some times you need to carry more than what you can get in a clutch but you don’t want to look overloaded with a big shopper bag – especially when at a social function. Olivia has worked lovely as you can get quite a lot in her; my large zipped purse, along with a slender note pad, pens and my iPhone Plus – pretty much what I need to have on me at these sort of events.
Olivia also makes a great shopping companion too, she is a crossbody and sits flat and streamline which is great if you are going into busy boutiques; I used her recently at the stylish shopping destination of Bicester Village, with brunch at Cafe Wolsey and then busy (and small) shopping outlets, Olivia was the perfect bag!
WHY I PICKED burgundy croco
This colour is one of my favourites after black, burgundy just seems to go with every neutral outfits, be it black, navy, camel or grey. My own purse has been burgundy (in many versions) for over ten years now, and I don’t think I would own any other colour. The croc textured effect also makes this bag look and feel premium, I like the gold lettering of INYATI across the top and the light gold metal features really finishes this bag off.
I’ve worn my bag (so far) without the faux fur handle cover; however the blush pink is a fab contrasting colour and is very on trend this season, I just love the whole look.
THE FINER DETAILS OF Olivia
Olivia’s flap closure sits on the inside, as in it doesn’t flap over to shut; it has two strong magnets that make it sit flush and I have been really impressed in how quickly it fasteners on the go, I thought it would be fiddly but it’s been fine!
Inside Olivia it’s pretty much an open space which has the usual zipped compartment on the inside rear, great for keys and ID card – on the opposite side are two open pouches, I couldn’t get my iPhone Plus in here, but to me that’s fine I tend to put my phone just behind my large purse for easy access. I’ve used these pouches for tissues and my lippy.
You can easily remove the top handle to enable you to put the faux fur cover on or off. The is a long strap too for the cross body affect that can easily be removed too, so you can have it like a midi satchel.
And just like all their bags it has INYATI in gold at the top which just makes it look really classy.
