I was delighted to be invited by the London College of Style and POP PR team to go to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2020 – And what an exciting event it was.
Before I headed to see Rocky Star at Victoria House, one of many destinations for the shows across London, I visited the main venue at 180 The Strand, to check out the vibes of LFW and to take in some of the streetstyle that people were wearing for London Fashion Week SS20, people watching and what people are wearing is so my thing!
London Fashion Week
The venue for Rocky Star plus I got to see quite a bit from Fashion Scout, an independent showcase for talented designers for London Fashion Week SS20. (Apologies for the mix of sizes of photos, I was using two cameras)
ROCKY STAR SS20
I was delighted to be invited to blog by the London College of Style on the Rocky Star collection – a truly exciting opportunity for me. I specifically chose Rocky Star as my own natural style is romantic-feminine with edge and this SS20 collection didn’t let me down. There was an exciting buzz waiting for the show to start.
In the know!
I need to give this gorgeous lady a #shoutout – Maria Bello, a lady I know form Instagram, kindly took me under her wings for my very first LFW and believe me this chick knows a lot of people, so it didn’t take long to feel at home. She’s been there every day and has lots of content on her account so you can see many more shows and behind the scenes footage.
WHAT I WORE
(NB: My outfit does contain gifted items, but they were not gifted for London Fashion Week)
Well what do you wear to London Fashion Week? Answer: Your own personal style.
You can only be you, and so staying true to your own style is what gives you confidence. I opted for my Ethereal London dress, I added a wide belt to make it more edgy and a focal point. The dress has gold details, so I matched my earrings to be gold, and again I wanted these to be a feature so they are big and round – they are current and from Topshop (aff link).
I teamed this with my black boots (although next time I’ll be in flats 😉 – a lesson learnt!) and my Coco bag by INYATI.
More on both Ethereal London and INYATI to feature on the blog soon!
The images below have been taken by Amalia Walkey, a young London photographer – and I have to say I think she has done an amazing job! I love her unique style of shooting into the sunlight, making for some interesting shadows.
