I was invited to take a look at the Kaleidoscope Summer 2019 Collection, a brand I had not really tried before so I was quite excited to see what they had to offer. Kaleidoscope is available online and they pride themselves on their designs to be that little bit different. I found this range to be an affordable style conscious collection, and I hope that the pieces I have picked you will be able to see just how easily you could style them with your own clothes.
As always to be as transparent as I can, this is not a sponsored post, Kaleidoscope did not request this blogpost – I found styling the collection so easy I thought this was relevant content for you. These items were gifted to me and if you click on any of the links within this post they are not affiliated links.
Let’s start with this white blazer – it’s a linen blend and is meant to be slightly oversized. I wore it on a very sunny Saturday and was super surprised just how cool it kept me. It did need quite an iron when I first received it but I am pleased to say that whilst wearing it there was very minimal creasing! I have mixed feelings about linen (as I am not a fan of ironing) but I was really impressed with this. I feel blazers particularly with jeans look better with the arms scrunched up or, as I have done here, rolled them back to show off the contrasting material which was subtle light stripes that worked well with the white linen. This linen blended white blazer is £55.
The frayed edge Mom style jeans were a real delightful surprise. I am not keen on ordering jeans online, but as part of this I had to. They fitted spot on! A midi crop that feels like they have a slight stretch in them, I have found that they sit lovely on the waist and I really like the blue stone wash colour, this is a perfect colour for summer. The style is very flattering and I can highly recommend. Sizing is true to size and a great price to at £39.
I have styled these two items by adding a yellow bodysuit under the white blazer, yellow is very popular this season and this bodysuit sits lovely under both the blazer and jeans – and then added more colour with a coral sandals which have a small heel and works well with the slight flared style of the jeans. I kept my handbag white to avoid any distraction of this simple look.
Next up is this floral dress. Dresses can take you anywhere! And this one is no exception. You can dress this ruffle floral dress up as I have below, perfect for hollibobs or date night, but you could also simply add pumps or wedges and it would be perfect on a summer day trip out.
The dress is a wrap style, I like the fact it has a button for the under-wrap giving you more confidence when you wear it, and the skirt too is lined which I think is very useful and makes for a more smoother finish. I also feel that with the hemline coming up slightly at the front, makes it a little more sassy and less frumpy (which some midi lengths can do). The dress is £59.
The last outfit is so flexible you could make this work for the office or for the weekend. The Kaleidoscope items are the khaki sleeveless jacket at £39, Aztec Embellished Vest at £19 and Rounded Handle Straw Bag at £39. The sleeveless jacket is very on trend this summer and will feature more later this month on the blog – I have styled it here for weekend styling, perfect for picnics or day trips out. But take the jacket and the vest and add camel or navy tailored trousers and you could very much head into the office with these (and I will be!!).
Straw bags are a must for the summer months, I think they instantly make any outfit summery – and I was really impressed with this bag, plenty of room for all your shopping bits and I plan to add either a scarf or brooches going forward to tie in with what I am wearing.
Now if you are hour-glass or pear-shape this jacket will look a lot better if you tie it at the waist to help define your waistline – I would also recommend this if you are wearing it into the office, I think it gives a more professional look. This is a great alternative to summer blazers especially if you struggle to regulate your body temperature, you should be sure to stay cool in the office with this.
