INTRODUCING SAINT + SOFIA

fashion british brand

I’m excited to share a new brand I’ve discovered Saint and Sofia, read on to see my Autumn top picks for you.

I discovered Saint and Sofia via Instagram, it’s a hub of buzzing fashion brands – sometimes it can feel you are seeing the same old, same old but I have to say Saint and Sofia really captured me with their neutral colour palette and that modern, chic but edgy vibe – You just get a strong feeling that you can easily adopt a number of pieces so easily into your current wardrobe and give your everyday look a fresh update.

After exploring their website in much greater detail – I couldn’t quite understand why there were two prices; Saint and Sofia explain about how they work hard with design and quality, working closely with their manufacturing sources and reducing their supply chain. They compare where they would if they used the typical retail supply chain, an interesting comparison and I’ve listed both in my favourite picks below for you can see.

FIVE FASHION FACTS I’M LOVING ABOUT THIS BRAND!

  1. They believe in value, sustainability and fairness
  2. Their sizing covers UK 6 up to UK size 22
  3. They are working to broadening their range for Petite and Tall sizes
  4. They design every style in their London studios
  5. They source the finest fabrics from family-owned fabric mills across Europe

MY FAVOURITE PICKS

Scarfs are an essential during autumn and winter – it’s great as a layering piece but it can elevate an everyday look. I feel there is something quite exquisite about a simply black scarf worn in a tonal black-on-black look!

SEQUIN SCARF – BLACK – £50 REGULAR RETAIL: £100

I find it very hard to walk away from stationery – I can find any reason to buy it! I’m addicted, and I don’t mind admitting it! This little “Big Ideas” has caught my beady eye!

BIG IDEAS – NOTEBOOK – £15 REGULAR RETAIL: £40

Slogan tees just keep on giving! and I can’t believe what a fab price this is for a small brand – especially when you look at the detail of how it’s made with gold button deets too – This is simple and easy way to support British brands at the moment, and you know you’ll wear this tee for good number of years – it’s a classic loose fit!

TURN-UP TEE – GREY ROCK – £30 REGULAR RETAIL: £60

Designed with the softest of Italian yarn, this is currently on my Autumn list to shop – Cable style knits are a modern touch to your everyday outfit and whilst this comes in many colours, this beige tone is very much where my own personal style is right now. I know I will get a lot of wear out of this both at the weekends and at the office.

COTTON CABLE KNIT SWEATER – BEIGE – £70 REGULAR RETAIL: £160

I own two black knitted dresses – I also own knitted dresses in other colours – they are such a flattering fit! And they keep me snug and warm on cold days. My top tip, is to buy quality in both the yarn and the fit, a cheap knitted dress quite frankly look cheap.

This looks to be a great black knit; I love that it is polo neck style, that’s so chic and modern and I find you can wear this style most of the year round – I often travel in knitted dresses as they are so comfy, yet stylish – so I never pack them away, I always have one easily at hand. Styled up with black boots or stiletto heels, dress down with trainers and a biker jacket – either way it’s a stylish win-win.

PENCIL DRESS – £70 REGULAR RETAIL: £150

A real modern twist on a classic – this oozes style! I think it’s the simple, yet intelligent detail in the design that I love about Saint + Sofia. Throughout autumn and winter the vast majoriy will only see your outerwear, and if you want your personal brand to say (without speaking), I’m modern, I’m stylish, I’m leading my style – THIS is that trench!

TRENCH COAT – BEIGE CHECK – £295 REGULAR RETAIL: £700

More looks to be coming from Saint + Sofia for Autumn/Winter 2020 – It’s definitely a brand to keep your eye on.

I have ordered a couple of trousers. Instead of receiving Saint+Sofia trousers I have received another brand, Zaggora, which is a company that in 2014 lost a court case for misleading and deceptive marketing. Didn’t know the two brands were related and definitively not ordered Zaggora trousers! For a brand that claims such an ethical set of principles this seems incredibly wrong, I cannot even explain how furious I am. I have contacted Saint+ Sofia about this, with no response yet.
