HOW A VELVET BLAZER CAN ELEVATE YOUR WARDROBE

How a velvet blazer can elevate your wardrobe

A velvet blazer can elevate your look quite easily – day to night. Read on to find out how adding this staple garment can do wonders!

Don’t be fooled into thinking that velvet blazers are just for the festive season or that it’s just evening wear – it’s a great investment item to add to your wardrobe that you can wear during the day right now.

Sometimes we are in need of elevating our day look to be a little bit more than basic, classic or just ‘everyday’ and I’ve been wearing a velvet blazer throughout January and February to do just that – simple yet elegant styling, effortlessly.

Now I know the word practical and style are not often associated together, but let’s be honest we need to be sensible here, we are in Winter! And my highest priority is keeping warm.

The photo below shows just how I wore this velvet blazer to Bicester Village recently; a more outdoor than indoor designer outlet shopping centre. On a side note Bicester Village is an experience in itself, you can go all casual, but you can also dress up in your finest – either work and it’s such a great place to meet your girlfriends  (Londoners, you just need to catch a train from Marylebone Station and it takes you straight there!).

Three ways to wear a velvet blazer to elevate your look

  1. Perk up a shorter dress to give it a little buzz for an evening out-out
  2. Wear it with a maxi dress to head to the office
  3. Add to jeans and a polo neck with long knee length boots that can take you from day to night

Want to see all three looks? Check our my reel below on Instagram – And if you are heading on a city break right now, all three looks can be worn with the same boots for travelling light! #winwinwin 🙂
