EASY & SIMPLE WELLBEING TIPS TO GET OUT OF THE LULL OF LOCKDOWN

It’s time to step into Spring!

It’s time to get out of the lull of lockdown; here are my easy & simple wellbeing tips to help you feel good about stepping into Spring.

We’ve been sailing the sea of lockdown however it’s been a different ride for everyone. Some of us have loved the hibernation of winter and others are craving to get up and get on out there.

Knowing where you personally are on this scale and understanding your own need; I am giving you permission to put yourself first! Do want makes YOU happy so that 2021 can become a more positive year than it has started for most people.

Not all the following wellbeing tips will work for all ladies, but hopefully these easy and simple wellbeing tips will start to make you feel better and hopefully put a little spring into your step! Well that’s the intention anyway 😉

WALK WITH POSITIVITY

It sounds simple, but my observations lately as I have been out & about really shows a lot of people are walking with their heads down, avoiding eye contact and not smiling.

How you walk and whether you smile (and you can tell, simply by the eyes of a person, if they are smiling behind the face mask) can make a lot of difference to your day (as well as to theirs).

Walk with purpose, with energy (good cardio too!) and walk with your head held high and smile – trust me you will feel so much better.

DITCH THE COMFY BRAS – TIME TO GET PERKY!

If you’ve been lucky to get away with no bra, then at least start to get one on! If you are like me and have loved wearing a non-wired bra, whilst this has been comfy & cosy – this is so not the get up and go for positivity!

A wellbeing tip that also helps with daily styling is to get those bosoms perked again; that’s right reach for your push-up bra, probably now at the back of the drawer but dig it out.

I put one on for the first time the other day and boom my mood seriously lifted as well as a much improved body shape; I forgot how good blouses and t-shirts look with a pushed-up silhouette.

TRY SOME BLUSHER

Some of us have stuck to a little lippy for zoom calls; and maybe you’ve kept up with the brow maintenance with a touch of mascara. To get a little glow back into your face and feel good about springtime ahead, try a little blusher.

For your blusher to sit lovely on your cheeks you may have to add a touch of tinted moisturiser; well a little more make-up than wearing nothing, can really have a positive impact on your wellbeing and state of mind. And it’s good to glow 🙂

 

You can take on anything with the right frame of mind.

START TO MAKE PLANS

A lot of plans have had to be put on hold, well with the potential dates of lighter restrictions, let’s be positive and go with the view it will happen.

Start to make a few plans to perhaps have a brunch date in a friend’s garden or maybe a coffee date with a friend you’ve not seen for over a year because soon you can drive that little bit further than the ‘stay at home’ rules we have been following. Yes things may change and Yes you may have to postpone the date, but surely postponing a date by a week or so is better than not having something to look forward to.

Don’t forget, everyone is craving to meet their friends and family so start now and get your date in with them or you might find their time will be booked up by other people!

A LITTLE MORE EXERCISE

The sporty people reading this will probably think ‘I’ve had more time for for this‘ well good for you, congratulations you’ve stayed the same weight and you look better than you did before Lockdown 3!

If, like me, you’ve gained weight and the daily walk has simply not cut the mustard on keeping you all trim and firm then it times to perhaps start with a few weights and sit-ups to get ready for the flesh to be shown.

Yes that’s right, time to consider ditching the chunky baggy winter knits… and the opaque black tights, I know, I could cry too! But hey, trust me after a week or so of making a little more effort, you’ll be surprised just how much better you feel!
