With classics we always think white shirts, but let’s not forget her sister the pale blue! Blue shirts are such a fab choice this season.
Crisp white shirts can be quite harsh to wear for most people, and you find some ladies dial up the tanning to try and make it work; I also get why a lot of ladies don’t opt for the softer cream, there is something about it that can, if you are not careful, date your look a little.
This is where I feel the pale blue option really comes in; as a brunette I also find the softer muted tone much better than crisp white.
Blue shirts are a big trend this season, striped is quite often the more popular choice, but if that’s not your bag then opt for plain or maybe even a light denim fabric to get the same vibe.
The blue shirt I’m wearing I picked up recently in the Alexa Chung sale; chiffon fabric, fitted style with matching buttons and the top button & cuffs offer a diamante finish.
I’ve had many compliments wearing it already and I’ve not left the house in it! (That’s zoom videos for you!) It’s inspired me to write this blogpost as white doesn’t alway have to your first option.
Pale blue goes so easy with blue denim jeans or white, as well as cream chinos. Plus you will have recently seen it in my blogpost about Spring jewellery with red trousers.
MY BLUE SHIRT EDIT

Then at a slightly higher price point, but I should imagine better quality in fabric and feel are Great Plains, &Other Stories and Mint Velvet.
NEW BRAND ALERT
I’ve recently discovered a brand on Instagram that I’ve not come across before, With Nothing Underneath – And I have to say I have been admiring the collection; I am tempted to buy I’ve just not made my purchase yet. I don’t normally shout out a brand without having a go myself but I feel their collection really fits this blogpost. So I can’t recommend just yet; but I thought you might like to take a look too.
