The world of Alice Temperley in Somerset is in my childhood holiday home of Ilminster & it’s a fashion mecca for those that love her brand.
Now whether you are travelling to Devon or Cornwall this holiday season, you will certainly need a little comfort break on route, well I urge you to set your sat nav to lovely town of Ilminster in Somerset – why? Well this is the home and world of Alice Temperley and I had a little visit to Phoenix Studios this week, whilst I was visiting family.
Phoenix Studios is set right in the heart of Ilminster town in an old Victorian building, one I have stood in front of many a time in my younger years whilst shopping with my Nan for our weekly food shop.
Now it’s a full on, glorious home for not only Alice Temperley boutique and bridal, but there is also The Somerset a coffee barista by day and a cocktail wine bar by night, plus a market bakery and what can only be described as the most beautifully decorated courtyard that any fashionista would want in her backyard; it’s full of blossom trees, glitterballs and exquisite handcrafted garden parasols!
There is Temperley London and Temperley Bridal at Phoenix Studios, they have recently included an edit from Somerset by Alice Temperley that is usually exclusive to John Lewis & Partners, so rest assured there are some affordable items for you to check out and try on.
I also spotted little skincare items, books and also chocolate bars that I couldn’t see online, making them a little treat for your holidays or as a gift for a loved one.
Unfortunately I was limited with taking photos in the boutique, as a lady was being fitted for her dress – with the ateliers on site, this is one of the fantastic services they offer, to have your dress fitted just for you!
