Ethereal London make the most gorgeous 100% silk floral print dresses – I’ve styled 6 daily looks using the Ethereal London Slip Dress, read on to find out how you can do the same.
JUST WEAR IT AS IT IS
With the summer heat kicking in at the end of June, I am sure it won’t be long until it’s back! I loved wearing Ophelia Midi Slip Dress all on it’s own, glam (yet comfy) whilst at home, in my garden and also nipping out here and there.
The photo below was on an exceptionally hot day English day but with just a pair of sliders; I stayed super cool and most importantly (for me) super stylish and I headed off to a friend’s BBQ later that evening, just as I was!

WEAR WITH ANKLE BOOTS
I never tire of boots with dresses and when it is a little cooler I don’t always want to opt for trainers. Picking out the white within the print I’ve gone with my pointy white boots for easy yet elevated style.

WEAR WITH AN OVERSIZED JUMPER
Oversized jumpers remain on trend this season.
Top Tip: Wear some (stretched) hair bands on each arm to keep the sleeves in place – make sure they are not too tight or you’ll be uncomfortable.
Keep the colour playful and fun, avoid neutrals they can really make a floral print look a little drab. It’s summer, so let’s get some colour on. I would also recommend that the length sits just slightly below your waist, avoid it sitting heavy on the hip – you need to keep the skirt flowing so you get that sass in your walk!

WEAR WITH BODYSUIT & TRAINERS
It’s quite easy to get hold of t-shirt bodysuits this season (in fact Allsaints have some high quality ones in their latest sale). A t-shirt body will sit streamline under the slip and will actually sim you down rather than adding bulk if you wore a standard t-shirt.
Anyone can wear a bodysuit, they are a very versatile item – It’s all about the fit, so order in multiple sizes and find your perfect fit, forget the size on the tag, it’s irrelevant. Make it work for you, and you will never look back! They work so well with jeans, trousers and skirts too.
We all love the trainer trend; so whether you’re a ‘mum on the run’ with kids or a ‘professional commuter’ – this styling works for any busy woman and her everyday life.

WEAR IT WITH A DENIM JACKET
Whilst we wish it was hot here everyday – we know our summers are unpredictable and so layering is key. With this gorgeous floral print, I would opt for a light blue denim jacket to keep that light vibe.

WEAR IT WITH A BARDOT TOP
One of the things I love about styling… is transformation. Nothing you own has to stay exactly as it is. I stumbled on this look just by playing with my wardrobe.
I needed a light layer piece for later on in the evening for the BBQ, you know when that light chilly wind starts to take on and you are sitting down and you can’t quite keep yourself warm.
I played with a variety of lighter tops but I new I would be too hot. This season the cold-shoulder dress is on trend, and simply adding a bardot top that’s been around for the last few summers creates this illusion.
The length of the top also allows the skirt to keep flowing – layering doesn’t always mean ‘make it winter’ play with your summer pieces to keep a fresh summer vibe but also has that practical element we all need.
And if you feel a little unconfident with it…. do what I do… add more jewellery!
