Beauty advent calendars are going to be a real treat this December! It’s becoming quite clear that this Christmas is going to be very different for all of us who live in the UK.
I for one will be turning to beauty and skincare for a little home-pampering. Well why not, my Christmas party spending money plus all the lovely brunch and lunch dates are likely to be on hold.
I will confess, many times I’ve missed out on buying a beauty advent calendar; simply because I leave it too late – and if you had Charlotte Tilbury in mind, forget it – it has already sold out!
With home-beauty extremely popular at the moment, these will fly out the door very quickly. I’ve yet to decide on which one I’m going for… I’m more a skincare kind of girl… so I’m skipping the aroma candles brands for this post. After checking out what is still available I’ve decided these are three of the best.
Why? Because they all offer you a variety of different brands; some you’ll know and love, the odd one you may not (re-gift it to a friend) but there will be something new and exciting that you will fall in love with – and that alone makes the whole experience worth it – because without the 24-25 days of daily treats, you would never (let’s be honest) treat yourself!

The ultimate calendar… has got to be Net-a-Porter. Now £240 seems a lot (well actually it is A LOT) of money – but the products (most full size and not samples!) equates to £1,115 worth of product. A value-for-money treat I would say, IF you can afford it. (Advent calendar spend = 3.69 x one hour facial)
NET-A-PORTER – 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar – £240
Pretty much all my beauty friends are fanatics of Space NK beauty shop and so I put a lot of trust into this being a good option! With a spend of £195 it seems you get £690 worth of product (Advent calendar spend = 3 x one hour facial)
Space NK Advent Calendar – The Beauty Anthology Part II by Space NK – £195
The high street option would be John Lewis & Partners and I feel it has more of a balanced mix between make-up and skincare. At £150 you are getting £376 worth of money (Advent calendar spend = 2.3 x one hour facial).
John Lewis & Partners Beauty Advent Calendar – £150
I’ve calculated this on a facial being £65 for one hour – some beauty spas are much higher in price – I feel this is a fair average and an amount I would typically spend.
