With over 650 blog posts published, I take look back at some of my favourite blog posts as part of celebrating 10 years of Loved By Lizzi.
I mean where do you actually start?! I can’t quite believe that 10 years have flown by but I think I am more surprised that I have published over 650 blog posts in that time.
Whilst there is 10 years of Loved By Lizzi, for me, the quality content of fashion & styling kicked in from 2016 – so I am going to take a look at a few of my favourites blog posts from this point to current day and give you just that little bit more insight into the post.
This may date back as old as 2017, but the basic rules still apply – the need to be organised but playful with your wardrobe are key to great styling.
Make time every month to evaluate what you love, what you want to wear over the coming week and does it fit with the woman you are today? (not your old self, not the ‘dress for the woman you wish to become”) does it give you the positivity vibes of you what you need in your life, right now?
First published in 2018 – I soon learnt that my community love to know how to take a day look straight to out-out!
We are busy ladies, so we need to have quick solutions just to enhance any outfit we have at hand.
You would think this date would be etched in my brain, but I genuinely forgotten that it was 29th March 2019 when I moved Loved By Lizzi from the world of Blogger over to what you now see on WordPress.
It was a challenging few months trying to coordinate the new imagery, redesign the logo and create new content for the launch whilst juggling a corporate job, run a household – you know just how hard we women work to make things happen!
And ‘make it happen’ I did on this day – I recall it being an extremely overwhelming day with my community giving the love with lots of compliments and support – so thank you!
For me this is quite a special blog post – I’ve always supported local boutiques, because it’s within these little stores that you can find treasure.
Unique pieces that you are unlikely to see on anyone else because it’s not from the highstreet. Your wardrobe should be a mix of investments, highstreet and good old fashion ‘stylish’ bargains, whether that’s a sales piece, preloved or even something a friend has gifted you. Shopping local can play a big part in all of it!
Another reason this blog post is special, the creative was done in Oxford city on a day out with my mum – we had a little impromptu photoshoot (don’t get me wrong, there would have been an #ootd photo) but we took a few more than that, and this formed part of one of my favourite blog posts.
I have to give this one a little highlight; it was the blog post that was never planned and yet for months after I posted this, it remained so popular – even throughout the winter months.
A post I wrote ‘in the moment’ and without much planning and has been a huge hit – it seems we are all striving for flawless and it comes in a bottle!
I’m unsure if this was popular because of lockdown life or simply because we were craving to be more stylish after a miserable year of Covid – I don’t know, but elevating our off-duty seems to be as important to us.
It’s nice to look good for a special event or for a night out; but I am delighted to see after years of writing about style and how it adds happiness into your life by wearing what makes you happy, that you feel good in – that for the vast majority of my community, you are just as keen to style your off-duty look for the every day!
That, my dear girls, is what style is – incorporating your style DNA into every element you wear and live in.
With my blog being on WordPress these days, I can only look back on popularity for the last three years. I thought it would be a good place to end this ‘look back’ on Loved By Lizzi.
What has been the most favourite blog post by the readers of Loved By Lizzi? Well, it’s this one.
It doesn’t surprise me, every time I posted Insta-stories on Trinny London, I had a lot of DMs of either what did I think? or my community telling me what they thought of Trinny London – and even many months after posting this, people still ask my opinion.
Product reviews are often popular and I always write from the heart about what I truly think – it’s important to me that you know how I experienced it, the good, the bad and the not-so bad! The brand will always be secondary to my honesty as it’s important for me to feedback what I truly believe.
With so many blog posts available, honestly fill your boots! I would love for you to let me know which one you personally enjoyed the most over the years.
Either leave a comment below or DM in on one of the social channels you follow me on!
I would love to hear from you,
love, Lizzi x
